underwater iPod

Looking for a way of going swimming/kayaking/windsurfing with your iPod? I can thoroughly recommend the H3 headphones and iPod Shuffle case, both made by H20 Audio.

I go swimming a lot, partly because I’m doing the Marie Curie Swimathon this year, partly because it’s a good way of getting fit.

But, boy, can it be boring! plodding up and down watching the clock to see whether it’s time to stop.

So a few months ago, I bought some kit so I can listen to my iPod while I swim. I was a bit dubious whether it would work, but it does! So now I can catchup on my favourite podcasts as I plod.

So I can thoroughly recommend the H3 headphones and iPod Shuffle case, both from H20 Audio.

I like them because:

  • They work!
  • They haven’t broken yet, after a few months of usage. (Build quality did seem to be an issue with some other makes of underwater headphones)
  • They come with an armband, which doesn’t look too daft. Some of the earlier ones had a big waistband to hold the iPod, looked very silly.

In the UK, you can get them online from Advanced MP3 Players. If you’re in Edinburgh or Glasgow, they’ve got shops, and friendly staff who do seem to actually know what they’re talking about!

How often do you yourself swim and what stroke or do you just write about it?

Can I ask though - how did you get this picked up and into google news?

Very impressive that this blog is syndicated through Google and is it something that is just up to Google or you actively created?

Obviously this is a popular blog with great data so well done on your seo success..

Swimming greats you should write about next, my ex was an olympic swimmer!
